RIMLE Professional Development

Learn more about RIMLE's advances and resources regarding professional development for administrators and teachers at the middle level.

Course Opportunities:

  • Developing an Effective Advisory Program: "A Must for Middle Level Educators" and Preparing for the Middle Level Advisory Role: A Skills Training for Advisory with Dr. John Niska and other RIMLE CADRE members. These courses are again being offed for the later fall and will be announced when locations are determined.

Institutes:

  • RIMLE and NELMS Summer Teaming Institute. This Institute is again being planned for the late summer over a two day period and will be offered at the Tiverton Middle School. It is offered to teams that are newly formed or would like to refresh and refine their practice. RIDE PDC's will be available for the institute. Contact the RIMLE office at rimle@ride.ri.net for further information.

Annual Winter Conference:

  • Sixth Annual Winter Conference. The Sixth Annual Winter Conference will be held at East Greenwich's Archie Cole Middle School on 100 Cedar Avenue on January 31, 2009. Information about the Winter Conference will be sent in the "Back to School" package that RIMLE sends out in the fall or you can call or e-mail the RIMLE office for more information. This conference will offer sessions for both administrators and teachers and will be presented by practitioners in the field. Look for upcoming announcements.

Roundtables:

  • Advisory Roundtable. This Roundtable will be announced in the early fall with a location and date to be determined.
  • Differentiation Roundtable. This Roundtable will also be announced in the early fall with a location and date to be determined.
